Twila A. Stevens, age 79 of Cridersville, formally of Wapakoneta, died 9:35 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. She was born April 29, 1934 in Ada to Lloyd and Bessie (Mull) Candler. She married Richard E. “Dick” Stevens, Sr. Jan. 12, 1951 and he preceded her in death June 18, 2010.
Mrs. Stevens had been a homemaker and enjoyed antiques, baking, gardening, garage sales, playing cards and camping. She was a former girlscout leader.
Survivors include a son: Richard E. (Karen) Stevens, Jr. of Celina, 2 daughters: Cheryl A. Stevens and Teresa Lyn (Anthony) Allen both of Wapak, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren a sister Elwanda Casper of Ada.
She was preceded in death by a son: David A. Stevens, 3 brothers and a sister.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at Bayliff & Son, Cridersville.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Monday at the funeral home with Rev. D. Lynn Fox officiating and burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
