Tyler J. Musser, age 35 of Charlotte, NC and formerly of Lima, passed suddenly on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at his home in Charlotte. He was born February 2, 1988 in Lima, Ohio.

Tyler was enthusiastic about life, loved living in Charlotte where there was always something to do. He had a gregarious personality, always making new friends and cherishing his collection of old friends. Traveling, meeting new people, being out on the boat were things Tyler loved doing. He will be remembered for his love of people, life and being a good man to all.

Surviving are his parents – Larry L. and Bea Hale Musser; siblings – Cindy Musser of SC; Tresa Hennon of Wapakoneta; Mindy (David) Peters of Shawnee; Ray (Annie) Craft of Shawnee; Kaylee Zimmerman of Waynesfield; special nieces and nephew – Kayla Peters; Calab Hennon, Hannah Steinke; a great nephew – Nova Thompson; his four-legged buddy – Buckeye; and 2 special friends he considered brothers – Alex and Justin.

Funeral services will begin 4:00 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2023 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Charlotte Hefner will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ch-Ki-Lo Food Pantry in Cridersville.

I am a retired teacher from Shawnee Schools. I believe I had Tyler Musser in my first grade class at Elmwood. The age is right for the student I remember so fondly. He was an incredibly compassionate and thoughtful child. So significant were his traits that I remember him all these years later. The comments in his obituary certainly reminded me of him. And whether or not this is the same Tyler Musser, please accept my deepest sympathies in the loss of your son. Jean McCourtie
