Willard N. Brown

Willard N. Brown age 87, of Lakeview passed away 1:25 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023 at his home.  He was born Feb. 9, 1936 in Greenup County Kentucky to the late Newton and Dessie Sabra (Robirds) Brown.  He married Margaret Lemaster June 10, 1962 and she survives in Lakeview.

He began driving truck on the farm at age 9. Willard had been a toolmaker for Textron, retiring after 28 years.  He had served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard.  He had also been a member of the Auglaize County Sheriffs Auxillary.

Additional survivors include children:  Dawn (Bill) Smothers of Geyer, Pam Shepherd of Wapak and Jerry (Marilyn) Nichols of Lima; 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 sisters:  Lou Herron of Wapak and Betty Kohli of St. Mary’s.

He was preceded in death by children:  Cheryl Ann Clark, James Willard Brown, Debra Lock, Terry Nichols and Willard Newton Brown, Jr. a great grandson and siblings:  Ernest Edward Robirds, James Jefferson Brown and Mary Catherine Brown

The family will receive friends 10 to 12 Thursday, March 30^th at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville and the funeral will follow with Pastor Jason Goss officiating.  Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery New Hampshire with military rites being observed.
