William ‘Bill’ Bazill, age 83, of Uniopolis died 3:05 p.m., Tuesday Aug. 24 at Richland Manor Nursing Home. He was born April 10, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio to William Sylvester and Marie Louise Neihaus Bazill. He married Betty Louise Rotroff June 9, 1945 and she preceded him in death Nov. 30, 2007.
Mr. Bazill had owned Bazill’s Jewelry in Wapakoneta and been a car salesman for Reliable Motors in Wapakoneta. He was a U. S. Army Veteran having served at the end of WW II and had worked at the Lime Army Tank Plant at one time. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles Organizations.
He had lived in Uniopolis for over 55 years, belonged to the Uniopolis United Methodist Church and had been a member of the Uniopolis Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, music and dancing.

(Beverly) Bazill of Lima, 3 Daughters: Vicki Ann Wolfe deceased, Linda (Dennis) Paul of Lafayette, OH and Tina (Kyle) Shoemaker of St. Augustine, FL. , sisters: Betty Swartz of Wapakoneta and Mary Jo (Ray) Wireman of Lima a step sister Helen Bice deceased, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 7th at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio for both William and Betty with Rev. Jean Horn officiating. Military Rites will be provided by the V. F. W. Post 8445 of Wapakoneta.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Uniopolis Fire Department.
