William G. ‘Bill’ Sheffield, III, age 41 of Columbus and formerly of Lima, died Sunday at 2:28 p.m., June 11, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born January 12, 1976 in Lima, Ohio to William Grover and Deborah K. Stuber Sheffield, II. His father preceded him in death and his mother Deborah K. Davis survives in Worthington.
Bill had worked at Worthington Industries in Columbus and Wannemacher Total Logistics in Lima. He was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. He was an avid sports fan of Ohio State, known as Big Ohio. Alsoloved his with his Cleveland Browns, and the Cavs.
Survivors include a brother – John (Stephanie Kincaid) of Columbus; Lauri (Tommy Vorhees) Craft of Cridersville; Mindi (Riley) Raker of Seattle, Washington; nieces and nephews Phierah Davis, Lennon Davis, Tori Helmic, Rachyl Craft, Bill Craft, Sara Craft, and Matilda Raker; step brothers and sisters, many aunts, uncles, cousins, his childhood/best friend – Josh Downard of Akron and his core group of tailgating friends, he considered his second family.
Memorial services will begin 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. In honor of Big Ohio please feel free to show your support by wearing your Ohio State gear.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
