William F. “Ollie” Anderson, Sr., age 79 of Cridersville, died at 11:02 a.m., Tuesday, January22, 2013 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born August 18, 1933 in Lima, Ohio to the late Fred L. and Gladys Erma Shaw Anderson. On May 29, 1956 he married Shirley Ann Luke, who survives.
Mr. Anderson retired from Randall Bearing. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a life member of the V.F.W. Post 1275 of Lima. He was a former member of the Lima Motorcycle Club and enjoyed riding his Harley. He loved old western movies and his family was his “first thing”.
Survivors include 2 sons – William F. “Bill” (Tammy) Anderson, Jr. of Cridersville; Robert L. (Lori) Anderson of Cridersville; 1 daughter – Karen S. (Neal) Burk of Cridersville; 5 grandchildren – Kristin Lunz, Lacey (Arimis) Jeffers, Dylan Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Katie (Al Flores) Anderson; 5 great grandchildren – Victoria Lunz, Raegan Jeffers, Levi Jeffers, Daemon Flores, and Gabrael Flores; 1 brother – Donald (Eileen, dec.) Anderson of Lima; 1 sister – Betty (Tom, dec.) McElroy of Lima; his beloved dogs – “Chico” and “Angel”.
He was preceded in death by his brother – Freddie Anderson.
Funeral services will begin 11:30 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2013 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Chaplain Dick Coon will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. Military rites will be observed by V.F.W. Post 1275.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
