Wm. Francis Lowry, age 92, of Cridersville died 9:12 p.m., Saturday, April 13 at his residence. He was born April 26, 1920 in Allen County to Samuel Price and Dorothy Grace Sellers Lowry. He married Ellen Wolfe Aug. 5, 1950 and she survives in Cridersville.
Mr. Lowry had been a farmer and was a member of the Auglaize County Farm Bureau. He was a member of Rousculp Church of Christ, Uniopolis Fire Department and was a Fairmount Cemetery Board Member. He was a former Union Township Trustee.
Survivors include a son: John (Lana) Lowry of Wapakoneta, 4 daughters: Judy (Bill) Faccenda of Lima, Pati (Terry) Hubert of Holland, OH, Jeanne (Richard ‘Al’) Lutterbein of Elida, and Jane (Greg) Davidson of Crab Orchard, TN; 2 brothers: Loren ‘Buck’ Lowry of Cridersville and Richard ‘Dick’ Lowry of Uniopolis; 3 sisters: Carol Lee of Lima, Joanne (Richard) Crumrine of Lima and Phyllis Brown of Elida; 12 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Lois Tully & Dorothy Lowry.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday April 16 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wed. April 17 at the funeral home with Pastor Kenny Rader officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery near Uniopolis.
Memorial contributions may be given to Rousculp Church of Christ or to Uniopolis Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad.
