Yovonne Sue Stauffer, age 80 of Cridersville, died at 12:18 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born February 17, 1938 in Lima, Ohio to the late Herbert Jess and Juanita Rusten Fetter. On November 2, 1958 she married Donald Woodrow Stauffer, who died July 2, 1994.
Sue had worked as a cashier at Walmart and was a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles # 391 of Wapakoneta. She enjoyed bowling and camping.
She is survived by 5 sons – Tim (Johnna) Stauffer of Wapakoneta; Brian (Rona) Stauffer of Wapakoneta; Todd (Regina) Stauffer of Shawnee; Randy (Shelly) Stauffer of Spencerville; Eric Dean (Jenny) Stauffer of Elida; a daughter-in-law – Deborah L. Stauffer of Lima; 22 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; a sister – Evelyn Sprague of Athens; a brother-in-law – Gilbert Campbell of Wapak; in-laws – Bill and Janet Stauffer of Elida and Linda Stauffer-Wilds of Lima; and a special granddaughter she helped raise – Emily Ambrose.
Preceding her in death is a son – Donald Allen ‘Donnie’ Stauffer who died August 6, 2018; a brother – William ‘Bill’ Fetter; 3 sisters – Patricia Campbell, Wilma Dean Stanley, Wanetta Della ‘Toots’ Forster.
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a. m., Friday, August 24, 2018 at Allentown United Methodist Church. Pastor Neal Whitney will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2018
at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
